Karl Nchite
CEO and Co-founder – CatalyzU
Karl Nchite is the co-founder and CEO of CatalyzU, an African talent-tech startup at the intersection of training and job placement. CatalyzU vets, trains, and places Africa’s leading non-technical talent at global startups.
Karl spent four years of his venture career at Goodwell Investments, an impact-focused venture capital firm with over €350 million AUM. He worked as an investment associate and in addition to his investor hat, he led the impact team at Goodwell, managing the firm’s impact measurement and reporting, as well as their various fund’s ESG reporting.
Before Goodwell, Karl co-built a grooming startup to digitize the barbershop value chain. This accompanied with his financial background from the University of Cape Town, helped him break into the VC space in his early 20s.

Thuso joined SprintHive from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was the Enterprise Leader for West, East and Central Africa. He now leads SprintHive’s Johannesburg presence as a Growth Strategist and Equity Partner. With 13 years of experience in ICT Thuso has worked for Old Mutual Rest of Africa managing digital distribution across 12 African countries.

In her career S’onqoba Vuba has occupied several roles in the technology and innovation space including Head: FNB Innovators Programme, which facilitates innovation in one of the most innovative banks in the world, until 2015; COO of education start-up Sifiso Learning Group and COO for 10x-Entrepreneur, an accelerator for high tech start-ups. She currently is the Chief Partnerships Officer for Next176, the growth and innovation arm of Old Mutual, where she orchestrates strategic partnerships across financial services, retail, telecommunications and auto/tech to deliver technology-enabled embedded financial service and insurance in digital-first environments.
